Union Home Minister Amit Shah Reviews High-Tech Border Security at Siliguri Corridor

New Delhi/Siliguri : Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the Siliguri Corridor, which was once considered vulnerable to infiltration, is now emerging as a symbol of a strong and secure border management system under the present government.

During his visit to the Jumagachh Border Out Post (BOP) of the 18th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF), North Bengal Frontier, the Home Minister inspected the advanced surveillance arrangements from the watch tower and reviewed the security infrastructure deployed along the international border.

Shri Amit Shah said that the Narendra Modi-led government has significantly strengthened border security by increasing the number of watch towers and equipping them with modern surveillance technology and advanced security systems.

He emphasised that the integration of technology with enhanced border infrastructure has made India’s borders more secure, vigilant, and capable of responding effectively to emerging challenges.
